Fudge Pie

This recipe was given to my grandmother back in the early 1960's and has been a family favorite for 40+ years! Show more

Serves: 8

Ingredients

  • 1 (9 inch)  baked  pie shells
  • 2  semi-sweet chocolate baking squares
  • 3  large eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1  cup sugar
  • 14 cup flour
  • 12 cup butter, melted
  • 12 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1  teaspoon vanilla
  • 1  teaspoon salt

Directions

  1. Melt the chocolate squares in a double boiler.
  2. In separate bowl, combine the sugar and flour.
  3. Add the three slightly beaten eggs and flour mixture to the chocolate, stirring well.
  4. Add the melted butter, pecans, vanilla and salt to the chocolate mixture and blend well.
  5. Pour into baked pie shell and bake for 30 minutes (or until middle is set) at 275 degrees.
  6. Cool and serve (this is so good by itself, but it is SUPERB with ice cream or whipped topping).
