Ingredients
- 1 1⁄2 cups water
- 1⁄2 cup orange juice
- 1⁄4 cup sugar
- 1 cup bulgur, uncooked (cracked wheat)
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1⁄4 cup chopped dried fig
- 1⁄4 cup chopped dried apricot
- 1⁄4 cup raisins
- 2 tablespoons pine nuts
Directions
- In a medium saucepan, combine water, orange juice, and sugar.
- Bring to a boil over medium heat.
- Add bulgur, reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and cook 15 minutes.
- Remove saucepan from heat and stir in vanilla and cinnamon. Then add remaining ingredients, mixing well.
- Serve right away for best flavor and texture.
