Fettuccine With No-Cook Walnut Alfredo Sauce

Ingredients
- 1⁄2 lb fettuccine pasta
- 1⁄2 cup walnuts
- 1 tablespoon fresh basil
- 1 garlic clove
- 1⁄4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄8 teaspoon pepper
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1⁄4 cup half-and-half
- 1⁄4 cup yogurt
Directions
- Cook fettuccine al dente.
- Toast walnuts.
- Mince basil and garlic in a food processor or blender.
- Add walnuts, parmesan, salt and pepper; pulse to mix.
- Add oil slowly.
- Add half and half and yogurt.
- Pour sauce over pasta.
- If you like, add chicken, shrimp, or mushrooms to the pasta.
