Doggy Treats

I don't have a dog, but both my girls do,. The grandkids get a kick out of helping me make these at Christmas for us to give their dogs. We make the stockings and stuff them with doggy treats and they get them for Christmas. Show more

Directions

  1. Dissolve yeast in warm water.
  2. When yeast bubbles, add all ingredients except egg and milk.
  3. Mix well, making a stiff dough.
  4. Roll dough 1/4-inch thick.
  5. Cut with bone cookie cutter.
  6. Combine milk and egg to make a glaze; brush cookies with this glaze.
  7. Bake at 300° for 45 minutes.
  8. Leave out overnight to dry.
  9. Store in airtight container.
