Creamy Italian Broccoli

Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 2 tablespoons minced shallots
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 teaspoon italian seasoning
- salt and pepper
- 1 1⁄4 cups half-and-half
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 (14 ounce) package baby broccoli florets, cooked and drained
Directions
- In a medium saucepan, melt butter.
- Sauté shallot in butter until soft, about 3 minutes.
- Stir in flour, seasoning, salt and pepper.
- Cook over medium heat for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
- Slowly add half-and-half and lemon juice.
- Cook, stirring constantly, until thick and smooth.
- Stir together sauce and broccoli.
- Serve as is or with chicken Kiev.
