Cream of Anything Soup

Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 tablespoons flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄8 teaspoon pepper
- 1 dash cayenne pepper
- 1 1⁄2 cups milk
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1⁄2 teaspoon seasoning salt
- 1 teaspoon onion powder or 1 teaspoon a small chopped onion
- 2 cups asparagus
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 dash nutmeg
- 1 1⁄2 cups green beans
- 1⁄2 teaspoon savory
- 2 cups broccoli
- 1⁄2 teaspoon thyme
- 1 dash garlic powder
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 cup carrot
- 1 tablespoon parsley
- 1⁄2 teaspoon basil
- 2 cups cauliflower
- 1⁄2 teaspoon curry powder
- 1 1⁄2 cups mushrooms
- 1 dash nutmeg
Directions
- In a soup pot melt and brown butter and flour. Add salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper. Add milk, chicken broth, Mrs. Dash and onion. Choose a vegetable (pureed or chopped) and seasonings.
