Ingredients
- 1⁄2 cup shortening
- 5 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 1⁄2 cups buttermilk
- 1⁄4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄4-1⁄2 cup butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 teaspoons sugar
- 3 teaspoons cinnamon
Directions
- Make dough with shortening, flour, baking powder, buttermilk, baking soda and salt.
- Roll out as for a pie crust.
- Mix butter, vanilla, sugar and cinnamon to make filling.
- Spread filling over crust and fold crust in half.
- Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.
- Bake 350* 25 minutes.
