Broccoli Cheese Soup

Ingredients
- 1 1⁄2 cups butter
- 2⁄3 cup flour
- 1⁄2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1⁄2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1⁄4 teaspoon white pepper
- 2 dashes ground thyme
- 2 (14 ounce) cans chicken broth
- 2 cups milk
- 6 cups bite-sized broccoli florets
- 2 cups whipping cream
- 1⁄2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1⁄4 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded havarti cheese
- 1 cup shredded swiss cheese
Directions
- Melt butter in 6 quart pan over low heat. Mix in flour and seasonings. Slowly add broth and milk. Cook, stirring constantly, until thickened. Stir in broccoli then simmer for 10 minute Remove from heat and stir in cream, Worcestershire sauce and Tabasco sauce. Add cheese, stirring until melted.
