Broccoli Casserole

Tasty and delicious use for brocolli if your family doesn't care for it.

Serves: 8

Ingredients

  • 1  garlic clove, minced
  • 1  large onion, chopped
  • 14 cup margarine
  • 4  cups broccoli, in bite size pieces
  • 10  ounces  mushroom soup
  • 7  ounces Cheese Whiz (or other jar cheese)
  • 1 (10 ounce) can mushrooms, drained or 14 lb  chopped fresh mushrooms
  • 12 cup  buttered bread crumb
  • 12 cup  almonds, chopped, divided in half

Directions

  1. Saute onion and garlic in marg.
  2. If using fresh mushrooms toss them inches.
  3. Spoon into a large greased casserole.
  4. Cook broccoli until crunchy.
  5. Add to casserole.
  6. Add tinned mushrooms and 1/4 Celsius of the almonds.
  7. In separate bowl blend mushroom soup and cheese whiz.
  8. Fold into casserole.
  9. Top with the rest of the almonds and bread crumbs mixed together.
  10. Bake 350* for 45 minutes.
