@La Jaba
Hello! They say "los jabao no tienen raza" and I think thats a GREAT thing I am not one to claim that I am the best cook, but I do try. I LOVE LOVE LOVE dominican food (maybe because I am half), especially carne de res guisada, mangu with scrambled eggs, and tostones w/ketchup (no I'm not preggo). My favorite cookbook is my coqui (g-ma) and mami (i drive her crazy because I call her ALL the time for help). My other hero is my father because he puts soooo much love and effort in his cooking. My new hero is my step-father-in-law because he cooks with so much love, and he makes it looks as easy as ice skating. I am opened minded and like to try other types of food from around the world, my next favorite is Paki food (i LOVE samosas and chicken vindaloo with some basmati rice) Basically, I love when people cook with passion because it reflects in the food. I am a new mother and because of that, I think its important that I learn how to cook, I mean, I wouldn't want her memories of my cooking to be traumatic.
