I've lived in most regions of the country, but far and away the south offers the biggest variety of regional foods. I teach Special Education, and try to make sure all of my students know cooking basics. My biggest pet peeve...people who take short cuts with recipes and expect the same results. Cooking good food takes time. Period. One month off with nothing to do? Hmmmmm...I'd fish and cook!
