I'm first generation born in the United States from my Russian immigrant parents. I learned how to cook from my mother who is an excellent cook. Most of her recipes are in her head. Nothing on paper and nothing measured exactly. She learned to cook by sight and smell and that is how I was taught. Although I have a telecommunications degree I currently homeschool my 10 year old son which is the best job I've ever had! I love cooking, trying new recipes and sharing with family and friends. Whatever I make I usually double cause russians tend to cook large amounts. It's a habit but a good one that everyone enjoys.
