I'm a retired RN and restaurant cook who grew up in family owned diner/restaurant/catering business in NH. I was a corpsman with the USMC in Vietnam in 65-66. went to UNH, got a BSN, worked for 25 years as an open heart surgery scrub/circulating nurse. Then went back to cooking for fun in my retirement. I worked a great family-owned restaurant called Bert & Ernie's in Great Falls, MT. Homade soups and salad dressings, meat from a local packer, and bread and rolls from local bakeries, Homemade cheesecakes from our Cheesecakes Unlimited sideline. Yeah, we bought from Sysco and FSA, too. We were in the middle of Montana, for crying out loud! Unfortunately, it's been sold to a new owner. But, Thanks, Jack and Lisa King for all the experience and friendship. I've been even more enthusiastic about cooking since my experiences with them.
