I cook for an Israeli family every fri. I'm always looking for new things to try so we don't get stuck in a rut. I'm usually there 5 hrs. so the recipes have to be fairly quick and easy. Usually 3-5 main dishes, with at least 2 that are enough for more than one meal, a couple vege. dishes, soup, salads that hold well ( I do alot of chop salads, beet, cabbage and potato also ) then maybe a tray of baked apples or a fruit compote. I love to cook. I'm not Jewish. I've cooked for a couple of east coast Jewish family's that have been here for several generations, they eat way different than the Israeli family's I've cooked for.
