I live in west central Indiana and was raised on a small family farm; we raised all our on beef/pork/chicken as well as raised and processed most of our own vegetables. I currently am employed as a Paramedic and I also do all the cooking at work. I learned to cook from one of the best home cooks that I have ever known Mom. I don’t receive the satisfaction from baking because you must stay so close to the recipe or it will fail. My kids think it is normal for Dad to do all the cooking, my wife can follow a recipe but I like to free style it when I can.
