I enjoy cooking for adventurous people. I love to cook with people. I used to work in a restaurant and have my chef papers. Learning to cook really well is great because it makes preparation of food much easier and enjoyable. Chopping especially, cooking in general, is very therapeutic for me. I often find 2 or 3 recipes for a dish and combine them into my own version. I am lucky enough to have a spouse who enjoys food and cooking as much as I do. MY PET PEEVE: poorly cooked pasta dishes in restaurants. They are such a disappointment that I would not normally order a pasta dish. PASSION: vegetables. So versatile, variable, a huge variety!!! FAVOURITE COOKBOOK: for a while, I thought I didn't need another cookbook. My stepson gave me 'cooking for the rushed'. I love it-easy,fast and good. Other fave is Harrowsmith cookbooks. Basic but useful. I usually change/vary the ingredients.
