I love to cook and eat!! My favourite types of food are hearty, simple, and family-oriented; I really enjoy cooking for family and friends and watching them enjoy what I've made. Although I love to bake, my husband and I are diabetic, so I'm trying to tone down on baking and eating sweets, and it's not easy... but I'm looking at it as an adventure ~ a way of exploring a new kind of eating. My favourite cookbooks are "Looneyspoons" and "Crazyplates", by Janet and Greta Podleski (OUTSTANDING recipes -- healthy and delicious!!). I also like Weight Watchers ~ their website has some great recipes. Favourite tv chefs include Michael Smith, Laura Calder, Rachael Ray, and Ina Garten.
