I like to cook for the challenge as well as for the satisfaction of eating great food. But once it's over it's over, I rarely make the same thing twice. I like to have people over to eat so I can cook and share food, not so I can visit and chat. I don't even mind doing dishes; ) Sourdough bread continues to be a challenge for me. I like it grainy, sour, crusty and made with wild yeasts. And I have let Maurice, my starter, die yet again. My starter has become a reminder of the cycle of life, which is a good thing to understand at my age; )
