I am a native South African now residing in the United States. As a vegan, I aim to have my heritage reflected in all my recipes, so herbs, spices and wine feature frequently in my meals. All my recipes are original. Cape Malay, Dutch, French, Portuguese, British, Indian and African influences make up South African cuisine. I am passionate about cooking and baking and love to share this joy with others. I love the fact that even when I've had an especially bad day, I can go into the kitchen, start cooking or baking and feel the stress just melt away. My favourite vegan restarant is Cafe 118. The food is simple yet creatively prepared, and bursts with flavour. A pure joy to eat.
