I'm a self-taught cook who loves to entertain. I have cooked for up to 50 people at my home by myself which took two weeks to prepare. It was a lot of work, but I get my gratification from watching friends & family enjoying themselves! I try to use fresh ingredients 99% of the time, although I have found a few recipes that are excellent and called for a can or a jar here and there. I love shopping at farmer's markets and at our local Asian grocery stores. They typically have the freshest produce, best prices and the most unusual ingredients!
