A handy little recipe that I adapted from a pretty generic looking Mexican cookbook that I have. The original recipe calls for feta cheese, so that's an option if you eat dairy. I think it's a great dish without the cheese but also plan to incorporate Recipe #364732 into it next time. Great way to use fresh beans from your garden, they are the star of the dish!

    Recipe #434375

This recipe is from a local Mexican restaurant near my home town. A lot of slow cooking and yet easy to make. Easy recipe to make ahead. just freeze the meat and finish everything else the day of service. You can also use purchased tortillas if you don't want to make your own.

This recipe was printed in the Houston Chronicle. It's very elegant, but quick and easy enough to prepare for a week night meal.

    Recipe #61982

I saw this prepared on Simply Delicioso with Ingrid Hoffman, "Miami Nights" episode. Delicious and filling! This prepares a lot, so you'll want to use a big pot - I like to use my 5-quart (sorry, international 'Zaar friends, I don't know why we still use that type of measurement). Sometimes I add a little bit of pepperjack cheese just before serving, which gives it an extra little "kick" in flavor!

This is a tasty, tasty coffee. I love iced coffees and this is one of my favorites...caramel and cinnamon together with coffee...it doesn't get much better than this, topped off with a flavored whipped cream, delish.

A great recipe for pinto beans. You can adjust the spice to your liking.

    Recipe #38046

A typical Indian dish, but not too spicy, and uses easy to find ingredients! For the Zaar World Tour 8

Found this Jaime Oliver recipe on the Food Network. Originally from JAIME AT HOME Cookbook. Posted for ZWT. A few smashed garlic cloves, a woody herb like rosemary, thyme, sage or bay, and a splash of vinegar, or squeezed lemon or orange juice, can accentuate their natural flavor. (from Jaime Oliver)

This salad is a twist on the classic salade nicoise with tuna. This can be individual servings or arranged on a platter and served family style. Nicoise olives are a small purplish-black variety or kalamata olives can be substituted. Add crusty french bread for a lovely meal. This recipe was adapted from a popular cooking magazine and posted for the 2006 Zaar World Tour - FRANCE.

If you want to reduce the pungency of the onions, soak them in cold water for a few minutes before using them. Adapted from food-India.com.

Chapati is the most commonly eaten bread in Northern India. It is very similar in shape to the Mexican tortilla, but very different in texture and flavor. If you make Chapati ahead of time, reheat before serving by wrapping a stack in foil and heat in a 325° oven for 10 to 15 minutes. If they seem dry, sprinkle a little water before reheating. Prep time does include dough standing time. Serve with Recipe #482643 482643.

Everybody loves meatballs and these are a cinch to make. All you need is a jar of salsa for their almost-instant sauce. They are good served over garlic rice (just cook a minced garlic clove or 2 in with standard rice).

Tes Leches translates to 3 milks which make this so very moist! I add hazelnut creamer to the 3 milks so I thought I should name it Cuatro Leches. You will not be disappointed. This looks hard but is a very easy cake and well worth it.

This recipe appeared in the Houston Chronicle years ago and was submitted by a local restaurant, Cavanagh's, in Webster, Texas (a suburb of Houston).

From The Weight Watchers Complete Cookbook & Program Basics, this sounds like it would be good.

    Recipe #339386

I grew up on corned beef and cabbage, which we had regularly (and not just on St. Patrick's Day). It was something I always enjoyed so I was surprised when, as an adult, I came across many people who professed their dislike for the meal. After much experimenting, I came up with a juicy, tender corned beef that everybody likes, even the corned beef-haters. This recipe halves easily. For the liquid, I prefer a nice caramel porter. While this takes several days, there really is not a lot of real effort involved, just planning.

EASY! I found a recipe (or idea) from Paula Deen, and switched up a few things to suit myself. It is much simpler than original cordon bleu and the flavor is GREAT! I use country (salty) ham, as that is what I prefer...you may substitute your favorite deli ham, of course....This is great for company and pretty quick to throw together...so tasty, and they'll think you worked for hours!

    Recipe #360148

Passed along to me by a family friend. This is equally good but very different with goat cheese or cheddar cheese.

    Recipe #465165

Serve this salsa alongside chips, or on your favorite Mexican dish! Posted for ZWT 5.

    Recipe #371174

Colorful peppers brighten this hearty stew flavored with Spanish red wine (don't forget to save some wine to serve along with dinner)!
