This is a easy basic recipe for couscous making it light and fluffy, not gummy.
Be sure to allow the couscous to absorb the water.
It's a tiny pasta made of ground semolina flour. Add spices, fruits, nuts, and vegetables you like. You can use a flavored broth to also kick it up.
This can be used for a breakfast, side, salad, stuffing......
This recipe is great to make when your having company, or for the holidays... I created it quite a few years ago, while experimenting in the kitchen, and have been making it ever since... It's a KEEPER!
The Neeley's have a cooking show on Food Network, and I love their recipes. If you love ribs like I do, you have got to TRY THESE!!! These ribs have some spice to them, so if you are making them for the kiddos or for those that don't like spicy food, reduce the amount of cayenne pepper to your liking. PLEASE NOTE: The preparation time does not include the time it takes for the ribs to sit in the fridge with the rub on (1-24 hrs.) ALSO: It takes 3-4 hours, depending on whether you slow cook them on the grill or in the oven.
I love meatloaf, and was looking for a new way to make it... I experimented until I came up with this one, and boy, was I glad I did... It was WONDERFUL... Thought I would share it with all of you, it was so good!
I created this recipe today, and am so glad I did. I have a couple of similar recipes, but wanted to try something just a little different... This came out really tasty, with a great seafood and lemony flavor. I will definately be making this again, and SOON! YUM!
If you want to use penne, you certainly can do that with this recipe. Recipe courtesy of Mary Ann Esposito, television celebrity chef on Ciao Italia, is one of my favorites. Here is her recipe for Drunken Ziti NOTE From Mary Ann: Lambrusco, slightly frissante wine, perfect with robust foods, is also good in this easy to make sauce for Ziti Ubriachi or Drunken Ziti. NOTE: Cooking time does NOT include time to cook pasta.
I love this combination of veggies... Great taste and something just a little different to have along with your favorite meat or fish dishes... REALLY GOOD! Note: Soul Food Seasoning contains salt, sugar, garlic, onion and paprika if you don't have it in your cupboard.
I had this recipe the first time at my cousin Sheila's house, and they were SO GOOD, I had to ask her for the recipe... These are so YUMMY!
You can add broccoli, cauliflower, string beans, cucumbers, pea pods, mushrooms or just about any veggie you can think of to this mix. You can blanch the broccoli and cauliflower, string beans, pea pods etc. or leave them raw, if you like them that way.
