    Garlic is also known as "the stinking rose," a term reportedly going back to Greek and Roman times. And OH how I love garlic! Here's a large and widely varied collection of garlic recipes that look delicious. Although there are a very small number included that use dried/granulated/powdered garlic, most of these recipes use fresh garlic. Enjoy!     It's new potato time and this is a quick easy recipe that is attractive and tasty.Try serving them with a little parmesan cheese sprinkled over top.

    Comfort food. Garlic is good for you and tastes great. If you like french onion soup, this is a nice addition to your soup collection. A salad is good with this soup for a light meal.

    These are absolutely fabulous! We have them with pasta but they would go with anything. I got the "base" recipe from a breadmachine cookbook but altered it to suit our tastes. The spread is even good on toast! The preparation time includes the time in the bread machine.

    This dip comes from my "Gifts in a Bag" recipe book. You could also use jelly jars for the dry ingredients. Just attach a gift tag with the directions on how to prepare the dip. Cook time is chill time. Tag should read: Combine the Chive and Garlic Mix with the sour cream. Stir until well blended. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving. Serve with your favorite chips, crackers of fresh vegetables.

    adapted from the Joy of Cooking. I love roasted garlic and this recipe uses chicken or vegetable stock as options for roasting it (this way, you don't have to ingest all that oil). Use French bread (for serving)...but I like to eat this plain. I have also used this on top of pizza with white sauce. You can also serve with olives and goat cheese or other soft white cheese...perfect for entertaining. YUM!
