This is a recipe that I have had for many years and for the life of me, cannot remember where I got it. But I do remember that it tastes very much like the soup I adored from South Vietnam, a small Kingston, Ontario Vietnamese restaurant. This is one of those foods that is great during the winter or also great when one feels the start of the cold. And by the way, don't skip the coriander leaves as garnish, they really add to the soup!

    Recipe #414407

found this in my email this morning. i looks great. everyday health most of the prep time is a 30 minute marinating wait.

    Recipe #414144

Some like it hot! On the Chilli 'Richter' scale at 15 out of 10 the Raja Naga Chilli is the hottest Chilli in the World. The aroma after opening the packet already made me go all heady! I hope this recipe will do it justice. The sweet Pineapple and the smooth coconut cream will tame it a bit, but I am expecting explosions in my mouth!

    Recipe #414439

Featured in our local paper this weekend. Quote: In the film "Cooking with Stella", Stella's glorious shrimp curry is well known throughout the diplomatic circles of Delhi. It is one of her signature dishes, tart with tamarind and lush with coconut milk. Tarmarind pulp and fresh or frozen curry leaves can be found in South Asian grocery stores. Just as soon as I can purchase curry leaves, I'll be trying this out! I've got all the other ingredients ... Guessing at time and yield.

This is awesome! My mother-in-law's hand-me-down recipe. Delicious!

The quantities are guesstimates. You can adjust everything for your taste. Updated 4/3/06 - Addition of ginger powder. Improved the steps

    Recipe #156496

This is something that is very popular at my Nana's house in India. Enjoy!

    Recipe #103819

This is my version of this wonderful recipe. The original uses boneless chicken thighs and the portion is doubled.

    Recipe #253129

This recipe is from the Thai Spirit Restaurant and from their newly published cookbook. I have modified it slightly leaving out a coconut garnish. Time does not include 4 hours marinating time.

    Recipe #144462

Before posting this recipe I checked recipezaar to see if it was already posted. There are many chutney recipes with either coriander or tamarind or even both ingredients but none of them has the core ingredient crushed red peppers. This chutney is spicy & sour at the same time. It can be stored in a tight lid jar for almost a month in the fridge. Enjoy it with snacks or just plain kababs or Kichdi.

    Recipe #276267

This is a Puerto Rican dish that really has a great flavor, tangy/sweet/salty.

    Recipe #229037

This wonderful recipe is from Young Times, a popular magazine in the UAE. This recipe is one of Chef Sanjeev Kapoor's and I am so happy to be able to share such a delcious recipe with all of you. This is truly a winner.

This is a very healthy, yet delicious recipe. It is an alternative way to do lamb shanks other than in red wine and beef stock with herbs and vegetables. It is also low in fat and carbohydrates. You can up the carbs by serving this with steamed basmati rice if desired, I just served it with bok choy and gai larn (also known as Chinese broccoli).

    Recipe #269223

From the Whole Foods website. The websites reminds you that the tea leaves contain caffine.

    Recipe #319925

My version of Vij's version. I have reduced the amount of oil used. Vij's states this is for 6 I believe it is more for 8.

This is adapted from Pamela Clark's Low Carb - Low Fat Cookbook. If this is diet food, please give me more. I served this with some steamed choy sum.

    Recipe #113426

This is a double-duty sauce -- it also does a stellar job as a basting sauce for a roasted whole bird!

    Recipe #65729

This is a quick and easy fish recipe that is low in carbs and healthy. I have been cooking lower carb meals lately as per hubby's request and this is one I came up with the other night as I had some halibut.

    Recipe #334128

This recipe is something I came up with. I'm in college and trying to eat somewhat healthy but also trying to use everything in my kitchen. I really like combining different tastes and temperatures: sour and sweet, hot and cold. This is really quite customizable but if you want to use dried figs I think you might need to rehydrate them because the recipe uses the fig's juices. (Tamarind paste has a strong taste so it might be good for using artificial sweeteners...but I haven't tried it) Hope you like it!
