I love sweet potato and so healthy for a diabetic - this is a very simple recipe when you need a quick side dish.

    Recipe #436682

From Health for Life Diabetes and submitted in request for diabetic friendly recipes with nuts. Times are estimates.

    Recipe #269788

This is from Margaret Fultons revised 1968 cookbook (a Christmas present from the DD - my original is rather dog eared and stained) in which she states "This is the authentic recipe made for me by the Cardini family in Mexico, the creataors of the caesar salad. Particular care was taken to lay the tender, elongated cos leaves all in the one direction." Times are estimated.

From Diabetes Australia The Ultimate Diabetes Cookbook in response to a request for sweet treats with nuts. Times are estimated and have not included standing time of 3 to 4 days. The name Almond Bread is a bit of a misnomer so have changed the title 30/4/2008.

    From Australian BH&G Diabetic Living.

    Recipe #453991

This is from the Australian Womens Weekly Fresh programme. In the cooking time I include the resting time, no time on the salad (I've only ever made the corned beef)but at a guess I would say about 30 minutes. A different way to serve corned beef for St. Patrick's Day.

    Crunchy biscuit, old aussie favourite.

    Recipe #176728

From a beautifully presented book I received from BusyMomof3 in the Cookbook Swap 2011 called Southern to the Core. NOTE - no garlic was listed in the ingredients or mentioned in the instructions so would suggest if you wish to add I think 2 to 4 cloves of roasted garlic minced through the mix would add a lovely flavour to the dish, though if your garlic is sweet you could add raw but I find a lot of people are not keen on the flavour of raw garlic in dishes.

From a beautifully presented cookbook titled Southern to the Core received in Cookbook Swap 2011 from busyMom of 3. Must admit with this style of bread I like to spread some butter on the slices when I serve.

Doing a clean out and came across some old recipe cards so keeping and posting recipes that interest me or think others maybe interest in, then they go to the op shop in their box. Times are estimated.

From Australian BH&G Diabetic Living to give that boring salad some zing and flavour. These are all 1 portion dressings and would take about 2 minutes each (have put prep time for making 1)
