    This cookbook contains all of the recipes tagged for Week Five in Photo Tag's Santa's Secret Contest 2008. Week 5 had 30 'secret ingredients' - 6 from week 1, 6 from week 2, 6 from week 3, 6 from week 4, and an additional 6 for week 5. Week 1 ingredients: honey, cloves, sweet potatoes/yams, coffee/chocolate liqueur, eggnog, and ham. Week 2 ingredients: peppermint (candy or extract), sour cream, cinnamon, sugar (not powdered or brown, vanilla/extract, and flour. Week 3 ingredients: chocolate, chicken broth/stock, cranberries, nutmeg, cider, brown sugar. Week 4 ingredients: rum, orange juice, molasses, marshmallows, graham crackers, cream cheese.     This is a great flavored frosting for apple cake. I haven't tried it on anything else, but I"m thinking even on carrot cake for a change from the standard cream cheese frosting. It makes quite a substantial amount and so you may want to adjust accordingly. So, serving amount is ???

    This is a very flavorful dish that is elegant and delicious. Perfect for a formal dinner or a cold winters night. Plate up the chops over some warm buttered egg noodles for a fabulous presentation. A great way to ensure tender and moist chops is to soak them in a brine of 1 cup milk to 1/2 Tbs salt for at least 1 hour before using in a recipe.

    A small slice of this rich, moist cake studded with cherries and nuts is perfect for a winter afternoon, with a cup of coffee or tea: just the pick-me-up you'll need for a full evening of decorating or present-wrapping. It can be made ahead, wrapped well, frozen, then taken out of the freezer when you need it. It's substantial enough to serve as the centerpiece of a holiday dessert table if you have one of the fancy shaped bundt pans. By the way, if you have a nutmeg grater be sure to use fresh nutmeg; the flavor and aroma are vastly superior to the pre-ground. *Eggnog's out of season? Use 1 1/4 cups light cream or half and half + 1 1/4 teaspoons eggnog flavor.
