Simple, quick, and yummy. Serve this spicy sauce over any white fish, plain rice, or vegetables. Add more curry paste to increase the heat. Created for Zaar World Tour for the RedHot Renegades.

    Recipe #426801

Whitby and Scarborough on the North Yorkshire coast of England were the places of inspiration for me with this recipe, they specialise in locally caught fish, perfect for this iconic English dish. Whereas fish and chips are usually only accompanied by salt and vinegar (Malt vinegar please!) when eaten out of newspaper, when eaten in a Fish and Chip Cafe or Restaurant, you are always served this tartar sauce with your meal, tangy and wonderful with the fish especially and a squeeze of lemon. If I close my eyes I can almost imagine the sun on my face and the salty smell in the air, with seagulls wheeling around above, and the smell of that special supper or lunch to follow, after exploring the little cobbled streets. This is a bit of a cheats version as it uses ready made mayonnaise; however, if you do make your own, then please use your own home-made mayo for this recipe, as I often do. Now all you need is a sun hat, a deck chair and plenty of time to do nothing before enjoying your fish supper!

    Recipe #428549

A Greek inspiration! Tart but not to the point of rudeness, like my teammates on Zaar World Tour VI. Lemon and thyme go together so well, and I could never resist kalamata olives, so there you go!

    Recipe #428624

Enveloping the spectrum of spices used in North Africa and the Middle East, this combination has a spicy-smokey aroma and a bit of bite when eaten. Savory mixed with sweet, this rub can be used on fish and seafood, broiled, baked, stir-fried or grilled. Created to represent our ZWT 6 team in the Wild Card Challenge, I chose a wide variety of spices and brought them together to create a mysterious and delicious combination fit for royalty -- the Queens of Quisine! When testing the recipe, I prepared large wild Key West shrimp and stir-fried them with olive oil. Delicious!

A savory and slightly sweet sauce with a bit of spice. Great for basting shrimp on the BBQ and as a dipping sauce served on the side. Created for ZWT6 and the Voracious Vagabonds.

    Recipe #428144

Northern India's game fish include mountain trout (introduced from Europe) and mahseer, a large native carp. This sauce can be used with these or any firm white fish.

    Recipe #428372

This is similar to a cocktail type sauce but made with North African inspired spices. It is a little spicy, but not disturbingly so. If you want it even more hot than Red Hot, go ahead and add additional cayenne pepper.

    Recipe #428539

This is a great rub for any type of fish for grilling or broiling! The classic flavors of Greece combined with heart healthy fish make this a Looney Spoon Phoodie favorite!! Especially good on Salmon! Recipe is enough for 4 pieces of fish. Easily adjusted serving portions.

    Recipe #428370

The recipe is filled with tang that comes from horseradish. The combination of sour cream, cucumber and horseradish makes this a nice change from regular grilled salmon.

    Recipe #428358

Cardamom -- just a little bit of it is the right amount -- is the key flavor in this quick, easy fish rub, which can either be used as a rub for grilling or broiling, or as an undercoat for breading. It suits our group, which is a very busy bunch and needs to keep it simple yet wants an elegant and aromatic result. We used it on some thin sole filets, but it would suit any slab of plain white fish such as flounder or tilapia. The mayo-based dipping sauce resembles one served with fries in some parts of Bavaria, and works well with either the grilled or breaded fish.

    Recipe #428668

This was created for ZWT. It may be served with crispy fried fish or any fried seafood. It is pink and a bit spicy from the ginger! This will serve 1-2 people and may be increased, as needed, for a crowd!

    Recipe #428340

Never boring and somewhat unruly, these shrimp are fun to share. So slap an apron on the cabana boy and have him come join you in the kitchen.

In honor of Zee Zany Zesty Cookzzzzz of ZWT6! This certainly is a zesty recipe, created in a truly zany fashion - throw a lot of ingredients together & cross my fingers! I grabbed all my North African/Middle Eastern spices and used many of them to create this spice mix. The sugar aids in caramelization. It will work with anything; I tried it on chicken (enough for 8 large breasts) because I don't like seafood. Created for The Mixing Pot challenge in the Fish & Seafood Forum. Enjoy!

    Recipe #428327

This is a fish rub I made up for the Wild Card Challenge for ZWT6 for the zwizzle chicks. It is essentially an Indian based rub with parmesan cheese and basil for a little Italy charm. Makes a nice crusty fish.

A fish rub with a middle eastern flare, created for ZWT6 Wild Card Mixing Pot Challenge. Lots of strong ingredients, but the end result is fairly mild.

    Recipe #428158

This recipe was developed to honor the Voracious Vagabonds of ZWT6.

    Recipe #428051

This was created for a seafood marinade or rub challenge.I didnt want a heavy marinade on my salmon as the fish is a beautiful tasting fish to begin with. If you want it stonger tasting with a bit more heat, add a bit more salsa. I used my own hot salsa but a store bought one will work.

    Recipe #428016

Created by Queens of Quisine for ZWT #6 Wild Card Challenge. This British influenced sauce is great on fried, baked or grilled Salmon.

    Recipe #427369

The Seasoned Sailor and his Sassy's made port on Santorini. What a beautiful sight! We headed out to the countryside to find loads of fresh herbs. For that reason, we have created a sensational seafood rub using fresh herbs found seaside just at Sunset on Santorini. Try it on grilled veggies too!
