Disabling injury became "almost" Mr Mom, have always been Dr Dad. I cook almost daily, making my family happy is my goal. I have found that adding piles of flavor usually wastes time along with so many tastes and maybe I'm just not good at it). For the past few years I have concentrated on making simple meals that are delicious. This is much more challenging while the end result is usually a simple yet wonderful meal. My mother cooked in an Italian restaurant, she was truly a master of taste, being from Northern Italy, with white sauces, veggie pasta and peasant foods like polenta and gnocchi. These "in foods of today" were our everyday meals. My children are a tribute to my mother whom they never met - they are excellent and discerning cooks. Peasants eat simply, but they always eat well!
