DIRECTIONS

  • Cook split peas, vegetable stock, onion, carrot, turnip, parsnip, marjoram, thyme, and salt together.
  • Cook for two hours; drain.
  • Mash in blender.
  • Fry minced onion in butter until lightly browned; add flour.
  • Add to mashed vegetables.
  • Beat until smooth.
