Ww Sloppy Joe Casserole

"A friend gave me a copy of this recipe. I just tried it for the first time tonight. I baked it for 45 minutes and forgot to check on the progress in the oven.....half of the cheese burned! So take the baking time with a grain of salt. I would closely watch, or cover it loosely with foil partially through the baking time. We thought this was a wonderful way to have a cheesy saucy pasta dish but still be able to watch our weight! I haven't tweaked this yet or verified the points calculation - but who can resist sharing another WW recipe! 6 WW points per serving."

  1. This casserole was a success at my house. Cheesy, a little tangy and sweet. Good all around flavor and filled us up.
  2. I haven't tried this yet, but I plan to. Especially since it is actually only 3 WW points per serving according to the Nutritional Information!
  3. I really wanted to love this recipe....but I didn't. I thought it was way too sweet. I waited until the last 10 minutes to put the cheese on. I do think that maybe it could be tweaked to my liking, but as is, I prolly won't make again. (Sorry)
  4. quick, easy, yummy!
  5. Yum! A fun twist on the ol' lasagna recipe. Very flavorful! The only difference I'd suggest in the directions, is to cover the casserole for 25-30 minutes, then uncover for the remainder amount of time to lightly brown up the top layer of cheese. I had to cover mine up half-way through the cooking time because it was browning way too quickly. Otherwise, A+!

I am from Michigan (metro-Detroit) area. No "human" kids, but I keep myself busy with my 2 five month old kittens adopted from a rescue league. Everyone said "you HAVE to have two!" If you're contemplating this for yourself, you may want to talk to me first...Do I have some stories for you! If I could escape from work for one month, you would find me on a Hawaiian beach, with a MaiTai in hand just soaking up the sun....
