  1. GREAT recipe, super healthy also! I used apples, delicious! Used the Instant Pot, loved the ease of it.

  2. It pained me to give this a one star rating. This concoction was one of the worse things I have ever eaten. Since I was out of old fashioned oatmeal, I thought I’d try to make a half portion. How did I choke it down? 1) I pretended to be a starving prisoner of war. 2) Afterward finishing, I gobble down a couple Rolos. Wheat is great as an addition but not the star of a dish.

  3. Just tried this, using only 2 cups of water, and it was still a little watery. I cut up some old apples and used honey for sweetener, and it was yummy, I made it in the microwave so I didn't have to clean another pot.

  4. This is a good basic recipe, if a little watery as proportioned. I added 1/4 cup of oat bran which made for perfect consistency. This has the added benefit of soluble fiber on top of the healthy helping of insoluble fiber in the wheat bran. This actually makes 2 generous servings; you'll be hard-pressed to eat all of this without help. Another suggestion: stir in 2 or 3 tablespoons of flaxseed meal after cooking and you won't need to eat anything else for the rest of the day. This is a great way to get your daily fiber all in one sitting. Probably will lose weight if you do this every morning.
