- 2 (6 ounce) fish fillets
- 1 egg
- 1⁄2 cup milk
- 1⁄3 cup flour
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 teaspoon paprika
- 1⁄8 teaspoon white pepper
- 1⁄8 teaspoon garlic powder
- 4 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1⁄2 cup pecans (chopped)
directions
- To cook fish;.
- Beat egg and milk together. Mix flour and spices. Dip fillets in egg mixture then flour mixture.Fry in hot oil for 2-3 minutes per side,until golden brown.Serve with sauce on top of the fish.
- Sauce; Beat butter,lemon juice and a dash of salt together. Stir in pecans.

I agree with the other reviewers that this is fast and easy to prepare, with ingredients that most people would have on hand. I also agree that the presentation was nice. I guess DH and I just didnt care for the walleye/pecan pairing. I ended up picking the pecans off of mine. This may just be personal preference....

This recipe was simple, easy to prepare, pretty to present and delicious! We used fresh walleye and even though I'm not a huge nuts-on-fish fan, it was fabulous. I already had purchased the fish and I found your recipe late in the afternoon and had all the ingredients -- that's the best kind of recipe! I will definitely make this again, in fact I might try it baked (without the coating), instead of pan-fried. Thanks!
