Waffle Cookies

"My mom made these cookies years ago. They are good with or without the frosting. Sorry, the recipe didn't say how long they cook (so I guessed on the prep and cook time), or how much powdered sugar to use, and I haven't made these in awhile so I don't remember. I'm also not sure about how many dozen this makes, I just guessed."

 1. Was looking for a recipe for these after constant badgering from husband. Simple, soft and extremely easy to make. Powdered sugar ended up being about 1 lb or half a reg bag to make a thick and spreadable frosting that compliments these cookies well. Super recipe to try if cooking with kids too due to ease and lack of mess. Husband gave four stars only because they were not exactly like the ones he grew up with. I gave five stars because I think they are great if not even better.

 2. These were good -- though I used canned frosting instead of the frosting listed here (wanted a white/vanilla frosting with them). Very different, thanks for sharing!

I am a stay-at-home mom to a very active toddler and a 1st grader.
My husband & I love to cook & eat at home.
My favorite cookbooks are church cookbooks. They have more recipes that my family & I will actually eat.
My husband & I both lost quite a bit of weight before we dated & since then, have changed the way we cook/eat. We substitute all ground hamburger in the recipes we use to ground turkey. We love the taste, it's not as filling & cheaper than ground beef. We also cook a lot with chicken & try to stay away from a lot of beef.
I also made all of my baby food & have posted some of the recipes that I used. My girls are both picky eaters. However, they loves veggies and fruit and could eat it all day!
I absolutely love this web-site and turn to it often for new recipes, I'm always on the lookout for a new recipe. My family doesn't seem to mind:).
