Vinegar and Tomato Barbeque Sauce

ingredients
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1⁄2 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1 1⁄2 teaspoons dry mustard
- 1 pinch celery seed (or Beau Monde)
- 1⁄2 - 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 1⁄2 teaspoons regular paprika
- 1⁄2 teaspoon ground allspice
- 2 cups ketchup
- 1⁄2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup distilled white vinegar
- 1 cup apple cider vinegar
- salt, as needed
directions
- In a 12-inch sauté pan, cook the onion till lightly gold, or slightly dark.
- Add all remaining ingredients, and simmer gently for 30 minutes, uncovered, can cover, if desired.
- Cool, and place into a container, put into the refrigerator to store.
