Venison Cheeseburger Pie

"Simplicity is the key point here. When you run out of Venison let your mind wander. I have always been the Camp Cook with our crowd and this is a must. Simple and very satisfying. You might even catagorize it as comfort food. Don't know where it came from except that my Dad showed me back about 1940."

• Ingredients: 11
• Yields: 1 Pie
• Serves: 4-8

ingredients

• 1 1⁄2 lbs venison, chopped
• 1 large onion, chopped
• 1 green pepper, chopped
• 1⁄2 cup breadcrumbs
• 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
• 1⁄4 teaspoon pepper
• 1⁄2 cup ketchup
• 9 inches deep dish pie shells
• 10 -12 ounces shredded sharp cheddar cheese
• 1 tablespoon milk
• 1 egg, beaten

directions

1. Cook the Onion, Pepper, and meat. Drain.

2. ADD:

3. Bread crumbs, Salt & Pepper Ketchup and put in pie crust.
4. Mix Cheese, Milk & Egg. Spread on Pie and bake @ 350 Degrees.
5. for 35-40 minutes.
