Veggie Wash
I'd heard that Grapefruit Seed Extract was very effective for cleaning produce (http://www.pureliquidgold.com/), so I set out to find a Veggie Wash recipe to refill my expensive store-bought bottle. I found this one at www.veganforum.com.
INGREDIENTS
Nutrition- 1tablespoon lemon juice
- 10drops grapefruit seed extract
- 2tablespoons low-sodium baking soda
- 1cup purified water
- 3⁄4cup vinegar
DIRECTIONS
- Mix well in a sprayer bottle.
- Shake before use.
- Spray produce (except mushrooms) and let sit for 5-10 minutes.
- Rinse well.
