Something was missing here for me. Didn't taste like the mock chopped liver I'm used to.

This is absolutely the best vegetarian chopped liver recipe I have ever tried! It is very tasty and satisfyingly similar to the 'real' thing. Most vegetarian chopped liver recipes have a raw bean type after taste, but not this one. I have served it several times and everyone raves about how good it is!

Great recipe. To really increase the flavour, when frying the onions add a stock cube. It takes it to another level. Also I used only about 1 tbs oil. Delicious.

Thanks for this recipe Caryn! Like Sharon said it looked like liver. Liked the flavor and the texture, served it with mini pitas and the left overs on a sandwich with some salad leaves the next day.
