  • In a large bowl, combine first eleven ingredients.
  • Stir in peanut butter, honey and melted butter.
  • Press mixture firmly into foil-lined 9x13 inch pan.
  • Bake in preheated 350 F oven for 15 minutes.
  • Remove from oven; sprinkle chocolate chips over bars.
  • Return to oven until chocolate is softened (about 2 minutes).
  • Spread chocolate evenly over bars. Cool slightly.
  • Refrigerate until firm (about 2 hours)
  • Cut into bars; wrap individually; store in refrigerator.

  1. I am completely addicted to these! The are delicious, delicious, delicious! I cut them into squares rather than long bars. They are perfect for kids' lunchboxes. Have kept mine in the freezer (they are quite crumbly otherwise) and they can be eaten immediately, no defrosting required. I even saved the crumbs and had them with yoghurt for breakfast! And on top of it all they are so quick and easy to make.

Tweaks

  1. I skip the raisins and add chia. You can play with the seeds & spice combinations as long as the ratio are the same.
