  • Roll tuna in cracked black pepper then sear it in very hot cast iron pan without oil, cool down for better slicing.
  • Slice tuna very thin, serve with sauce down and garnish with pickled ginger.

  1. I forgot to review this the last time! The sauce for us was best served as a marinade---we marinated an 8 oz piece f beautiful ahi grade tuna for about 2 hours...skipped the black pepper and quickly seared it in a hot cast iron skillet (lightly greased to prevent ANY sticking)...OMG the most intense flavor ever---I actually used canola oil as well as we had no peanut oil---Sliced on the bias an VOILA! I'll make it again this evening as a treat for my hubby!
