  1. We really thought this was good. I didn't have the beans in your recipe so I used kidney beans instead (I rinsed them first) and it still tasted really good. Thank you for telling me about your tuna recipe when I asked for recipes (I use a lot of tuna).

  2. What an awesome idea for tuna. I eat a ton of it and sometimes it gets sort of boring right from the can. I modified the recipe a little because I had some things in my kitchen that I had to use up. I substituted a can of mixed beans instead of the northern beans. I also added as extras: 2 15 oz. cans of diced tomatoes, 1 large red pepper, 2 cups of carrots, 2 cups of green beans and an extra onion. It made an awesome, thick and hearty soup. Thanks for the recipe Keywee!

  3. A lovely change of pace from plain ole minestrone soup. Love how quick this is to put together! Used crushed tomatoes with chilis and oregano&basil instead of Italian seasoning, but otherwise followed the recipe. Great soup, thanks KeyWee!

  4. Wow, this was pretty good! I used 2 cans of beans and probably threw in a lot more celery and used mini peeled carrots too. I also added around 3 cups of water and added some chicken bouillion to taste. Thanks!

  5. Really liked this soup, especially the heat from the cayenne..really warms up the mouth. I didnt have any shell pasta so uused small rigatoni..and I used kidney beans. Full of flavour.

Can't believe I've been a member here for 18 years! It's changed a lot since the old RecipeZaar days and maybe or maybe not for the better. It used to be a community and now it's just a tool. Sad, but life goes on. I have been in Kentucky for 12 years now and enjoy the country lifestyle, along with master gardening. Recipes I've found here since Day One are still in my rotation. Don't entertain that much anymore, so finding new and exciting foods is no longer center stage. Just glad to have so many good recipes to fall back on because eating out is expensive and sometimes too far to drive.
