These are my absolute favorite cookie. Ever. I have licked many a beater after mixing these cookies up. They are of course from the back of the Toll House package.

  • Mix together the flour, salt and baking soda in a small bowl, set aside.
  • Cream the sugars and butter together, add the vanilla.
  • Add the eggs one at a time.
  • Slowly add the flour mixture.
  • When completely mixed, add the butterscotch chips.
  • Drop by the spoonful onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Bake 8-10 minutes at 375F degrees.

    Yours look a lot better than mine. I followed the recipe but instead of 10 minutes I did 8 minutes. And it looks darker. Do you have any tips for me? And yes I was by the oven the whole time.

    A nice, easy cookie recipe when you need a sweet treat "fix" in quick time. Since butterscotch chips are very sweet, I used only half of a bag (5.5 oz) and increased the baking time to 12 minutes for a slightly crunchier cookie. This is a hit in our household!
