- 1 lb ground beef
- 1⁄2 teaspoon allspice
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄4 pine nuts, ground

sauce
- 1 cup dried cherries
- 1 cup water
- 1⁄2 teaspoon allspice
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 1⁄2 cups onions, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil

garnish
- 3 green onions, minced
directions
- soak cherries with spice and juice 1 hour.
- saute onions in oil until golden add cherry mixture.
- meanwhile.
- mix meatballs form walnut size fry until browned.
- add to cherry sauce.
- cook 15 minutes at low simmer.
