DIRECTIONS

  • Heat oven 350 degrees.
  • Grease 8 inch baking pan and line if desired with buttered parchment.
  • Rinse raisins well, and then drain.
  • Beat egg , stir in the sugar, vanilla, and melted margarine.
  • Add sifted dry ingredients and then stir in the raisins.
  • Spread into prepared pan.
  • Mix the sugar and cinnamon together, and sprinkle over batter evenly.
  • Bake for 22- to 25 minutes in moderate oven, until tester comes away clean.
  • Cool in pan.
  • Cut into 24 bars.
