Stuffed Dogs
"My Mom used to make these when we were kids. Now I make them for my grandkids - they love them. Really quick and easy using leftover mashed potatoes."

ingredients
- 10 hot dogs
- 1 1⁄2 cups mashed potatoes
- 5 cheese slices, each cut in half
directions
- Slice hot dogs down the middle (not all of the way through) and place on a cookie sheet.
- Scoop mashed potatoes into slits.
- Lay a half slice of cheese on top.
- Put under broiler or bake at 350F until cheese melts.

While not "gourmet", these were great fun and enjoyed by kids and grown ups. I used leftover potato casserole to stuff my dogs and it was a big hit. -
OMG...love these! Brings back wonderful childhood memories. (BIG SMILE) My mom would fix these & serve with yummy buttered corn. I do believe I'll be fixing these for dinner tonight. (smile)
