  1. We all absolutely loved this recipe. I didnt make too many changes to it, I used a Seasoned Flour on the meat. I put some raw onion in the crockpot, on top of the meat. To the soup I added a half a can of water then the sour cream, I might have used more sour cream, I just kinda eyeballed it to the consistency that I liked. I also added minced garlic to the soup, then poured it all over the meat. I cooked on high for 4 hours as well, I had some bigger steaks. And let me tell you that you didnt even need a knife to cut it! So tender and delicious!!! I served it over egg noodles with some green beans on the side, and that worked out perfect. For a house of 3 picky eaters (me being pregnant, a picky child, and an even pickier husband) this was a winner for all of us!!! Thanks so much for the recipe! Definitely a keeper for us!!!

  2. We loved this recipe, but I did make a lot of changes. I followed steps 1-3 as directed. I did use a garlic spice blend in the flour instead of the salt and pepper on the meat. I mixed the soup and sour cream in the crock pot. After browning the meat I sauted a sliced onion and a can of mushrooms. I added this into the crock pot with the soup. I deglazed the pan with the can of water. I added about a teaspoon of beef base. I used Healthy Request Cream of Mushroom soup and my experience is it tends to be bland and not well suited for dishes in which that is the only flavoring. I added this to the crock and mixed well. I then added the meat into the crock. I cooked on high for 4 hours. I had two really large steaks so I wanted to make sure they were done. My husband hates cube steak because it is typically very tough. This was so tender you didn't even need a knife to cut it. I served with rice and salad. This will become a staple recipe at our house.

  3. I mixed a half a can of water with the soup, added an onion and cooked on high for three hours. Very tasty!

  4. This is a really easy, and flavorful, dinner to have waiting when you get home. I didn't use sour cream because I don't usually have any around. Picky husband doesn't like it. And my mushroom soup was Campbell's Golden Mushroom instead of cream of mushroom.

  5. Maybe my kids are more picky, because they did not eat this, but I am wondering if I did something wrong without realizing it. The gravy turned out really thin and the taste was pretty ordinary...which is usually great for kids. I generally like recipes that are kicked up a notch, so it just was not for me. However, I can see how it could be a favorite for others.
