- 3⁄4 cup sugar
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1⁄2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1⁄2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 3 small apples, sliced (Gala or Fuji)
- 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can tart cherries, drained
- 1 unbaked pie shell

Streusel Topping
- 4 tablespoons butter or 4 tablespoons margarine, softened
- 1⁄2 cup flour
- 1⁄2 cup oats
- 1⁄3 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 dash nutmeg
directions
- Combine struesel ingredients in a small bowl until blended. Set aside.
- In a saucepan, over medium-low heat, combine sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon and nutmeg. Heat until sauce thickens, gently stirring occasionaly. Add apples, then cherries.
- Pour mixture into pie shell. Sprinkle streusel over fruit pie mixture.
- Bake at 425 degrees for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake for 20-25 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
- When at room temperature, chill in refrigerator.
- This is to be served cold but see how YOU like it.
