Strawberry Frosted Milk Drink

"It's summer time and we are all looking for those cold refreshing drinks. This is one that I found in a 1963 edition of Family Cooking, a cookbook published by Parents' Magazine."

• Ingredients: 3
• Yields: 1 shake
• Serves: 1

ingredients

• 1 cup milk, cold
• 2 tablespoons strawberry preserves
• 1⁄4 cup vanilla ice cream

directions

1. Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
2. Enjoy!

I haven't tried this, but am rating it anyway because I know how well strawberry jam or preserves goes w/vanilla ice cream as I used to eat that kind of combo often. I'll have to try this someday, using non-dairy subs (I have IBS). Good idea making this into a milkshake. Thanks for reminding me of this winning combo. :)
