  • In a pot, mash strawberries. Pour in water. Turn on medium heat.
  • Mix in 1 packet of Splenda (or 2 teaspoons of regular sugar if no alternative is available) and cinnamon.
  • Keep heated for about 3-5 minutes.
  • Pour over food and enjoy!

  1. Tried this with a mock french toast thing (which was ok, but not great) but the compote was fantastic. I hadn't really thought of doing this before because silly me thought without sugar it wouldn't really work. I was happy to be wrong. Thanks for posting!
