This was at the most, just o.k. It seemed a bit too tart and sour tasting for me. Maybe add a little sugar? I really like all the ingredients separately and so I had high hopes this was going to go over. I scaled the recipe down to serve 1 and served it over a bed of lettuce with other veggies such as radish, tomato, carrot and alfalfa sprouts. I'm sorry I can't give this more stars, but it just didn't appeal:-(

This was a bit strange for me. It was a little too tart so I did add a drizzle of honey which helped. Thanks and good luck!

Made for Craze-E 2009 Contest. I liked the simplicity and creative ingredient combination of this recipe, but I found it too tart. It improved when I added a bit of sugar. I really couldn't taste the apple cider vinegar, so I think to keep it in the recipe, it should have replaced or at least halved the balsamic vinegar. I also wasn't sure what to do with the large lemon since the directions only specified using the lemon juice, so I left it out, especially since it was already plenty tart. If I make this again, I will cut back the acidic ingredients, add a touch of sugar, and toast the walnuts. I think those changes would make a four or five star salad. The foundation for an excellent recipe is here--it just needs a little tweaking.
