  • Mix it all together and marinade steak for 30 minutes to overnight.
  • Garlic will be stronger the longer you marinade.
  • Don't be afraid of the garlic it makes the steak taste wonderful!
  • Either grill the steaks or pan fry them in butter.
  • Either way they're great!
  • I do both; I grill them til they're almost done then finish the cooking by pan frying.
  • This turns an average grocery store steak into a delicious good restaurant tasting steak.

Keri, this was terrific! You were right regarding the garlic...don't be afraid of it! My husband and I had a delicious dinner last night after I had marinated the steaks for about 2 hours. My hubby uses a simlar recipe for steaks on the grill, but adds honey to the recipe. Thanx a bunch for this one; we enjoyed it immensely!

Wow!! It definitely surprised me when I made these steaks. I marinated for about 45 minutes and to my surprise, the steaks came out PERFECT. Definitely don't be shy about throwing a in a little garlic... or a lot, because all it does is make it better! My go-to.

Fabulous! I had steak I'd won in a raffle and knew from previous experience that it was going to be a bit flavourless. This marinade (I only left it in for 5 hrs) made it wonderful. Tasty and tender. I didn't have onion powder or garlic powder so left them out. I put in 2 heaped tablespoons of garlic. They are right "Don't be afraid of the garlic". It was just right. Hubby loved it too. Next time I win a steak in the raffle (if ever), I'll be doing this again.

For anyone who is salt adverse, I would suggest looking for Low sodium Soy Sauces and Worcestershire sauces. This will help reduce the saltiness of the dish some people commenting about.
